Show Jumping is a timed competition, and takes place in a jumping arena. The test usually consists of 10-15 jumping efforts with a jump off of another 5 or so jumps following a first round without jumping or time faults. Penalty points are assessed for knocking down rails, disobedience's and time penalties.

"Doug is an extremely talented young horseman, with a great future ahead. I've enjoyed working with him for the past year. He is an excellent student, open to learn and very focused. Horses like Doug because he rides with feeling. He can be strong and light, depending on the situation."
